Overview

Dreams of My Mother offers a fresh perspective on the family drama trope through intertwined story arcs, thought-provoking romance, blurring of imagination and reality, and complementary visual language. Keith, a young tech executive haunted by his birth mother’s absence, meets Melody, an aspiring fashion designer, confronting her mother’s career expectations while making peace with the loss of her father.  Through loss and rediscovery, both characters learn that healing comes from love and vulnerability. The settings of New York, Sonoma, and Baltimore cinematically draw the audience into full worlds of contrasting cultures. Lucid dream sequences will be exclusively shot on film and blended into the DOMM’s digital shots for visual innovation. A series of visual motifs will also be incorporated to enhance key parts of this soulful journey about love, legacy, and finding beauty amidst life's ups and downs.
